The two musicians Flavio Maspoli and André Baumgartner from Zurich decided to work together on a project with the promising name "Espresso del Lago"

"Espresso" thereby stands for the musical substance and "del Lago" refers to the origin of the two musicians and the beauty the lake of Zurich a beauty that also is expressed by the music.

With their premiere song "Sa Trincha" the two of them participated in the 25-year-Contest of cafe del Mar in Spain, where they placed amongst the last finalists from more than 400 productions taking part.

What is more beautiful than sitting on the shore of the resplendent lake of Zurich, nipping a strong Espresso and enjoying the evening-red sky in the most beautiful city world-wide?

You are right, nothing! But the addittional joy of the benefitful sound of Espresso del Lago.

Many inputs to the music develops on journeys into different cultures, where people and their emotions stand in the foreground.
